Ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Summer at Ponderosa is a life-changing experience for you and the kids you’re serving! Discover your passions and purpose, all while having an amazing time. Come learn to be the spiritual leader God is calling you to be. Break days are awesome, too! We’re a day trip away from the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Canyon De Chelly and just down the road from some of the most beautiful lakes in Arizona!

  • Ready to step into the role of a lifetime? As a camp counselor, you're not just leading activities; you're shaping memories, inspiring growth, and fostering a sense of community like no other. From sunrise to sunset, you'll be at the forefront of the action, guiding campers through adventures, laughter, and spiritual growth. It's not just a job; it's a chance to make a real difference in the lives of those around you.

  • Help shape the next generation of leaders. As a Juniper Program Lead, you’ll walk alongside a small group of 14–15-year-olds as they grow in their faith, confidence, and leadership. You’ll mentor them through hands-on camp experiences, guide meaningful conversations, and cheer them on as they discover who God is calling them to be. If you love investing in teens, building real relationships, and helping young leaders take their next steps, this role is where you’ll make a lasting impact.

  • Hey, future leaders! Ready to kickstart your journey towards becoming an awesome camp counselor? As a CIT (Counselor-in-Training), you won't just be a sidekick; you'll be right in the thick of the action. It's not just about lending a hand; it's about seizing the opportunity to grow and learn alongside your campers. From leading activities to sharing inspiring devotions, you'll be at the heart of making camp memories that last a lifetime.

Cabin Leaders

Food Service

  • Be the reason someone gets 3 meals a day this summer. We’re cooking up something delicious in the Pondi Kitchen, but we need you to get that food to the campers! Get real food service experience and have a real good time as part of the hospitality crew.

  • We are sure we make the best camp food in Arizona. We can’t prove it, but we believe it with all of our hearts. Our Prep Cooks make sure of that. Work closely with our Kitchen Manager and your fellow Summer Chefs to make food that is delicious, fun, and filling.

  • Feel like you’ve got a hang of this Camp Ministry thing? Ready to help run the show? Our Program Assistant co-leads our summer programming. Their main responsibility is to serve the summer staff and make sure the Pondi crew has everything they need to succeed. This might mean creating the schedule or coming alongside a staff member who’s having a tough week. You work with the leadership team to set the tone for the summer.

  • What’s camp without creatively learning about Jesus? Our CMC makes life with Jesus what it’s supposed to be: fun, meaningful, and full of moments that stick. You’ll work directly with our DYS (Ministry Professional) to craft quality chapel and devotional programs, run the craft house, and dream up artsy projects that help campers experience God in hands-on ways. All while empowering others to be the best parts of Ponderosa.

  • Our counselors are awesome, but everyone needs some help and guidance. Our unit coordinator works with our counselors and ensures they are in a good place mentally, physically, and spiritually. It’s your job to come alongside counselors and ensure they have everything they need to succeed!

  • Our Hospitality Coordinator is the fearless leader of our dining staff. Makes sure every camper is fed while being a spiritual leader for the crew.

Leadership Crew

  • Be the calm in the camp chaos. As a Health Specialist, you’ll help keep campers healthy, hydrated, and cared for all week long. You’ll handle basic first aid, manage medications, and be the friendly face kids look for when they’re not feeling their best. It’s a mix of real hands-on experience, meaningful moments with campers, and a chance to make a big difference behind the scenes. If you’ve got a steady spirit, a caring heart, and a desire to serve, this role is a perfect fit.
