It’s your Time to Grow
Junipers may
begin as one of
the smallest trees
in the forest,
but with time and the right conditions,
they can grow into
towering giants.
-
This is not a summer staff job. It is a brand new 3-week discipleship program for 14 and 15 years olds who have a desire to not only get hands on experience at camp, but who also want to go deeper in their walks with God and grow in their personal, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
The Juniper program is designed to nurture well-rounded young leaders through a dynamic, faith-centered experience in a camp environment. Over the span of their program, Junipers will focus on three main areas of growth (Social and Emotional Learning, Spiritual Growth Formation, and Skills Development) receiving valuable experience and teaching that will prepare them for a full-time role in summer camp ministry.
-
By the end of their 3-week discipleship program, young leaders will be better equipped, not only to work at camp in the next year or two, but they should come out of the program having grown in their personal and leadership skills, while also growing deeper in their relationship with God.
In the Juniper program, Junipers will attend developmental classes, have daily and weekly discipleship time individually and with their leads, they will shadow activities and camp specific components with their group mates and leads and will implement the learning topics they are learning in their classes to real life experiences. We believe that this program will set Junipers up for future success as a full time camp staff, if they choose to reapply for a camp position when they turn 16; but, even if they don’t apply to be a full time camp staff, the skills they will gain from this program can be taken into any future job they may apply for
-
At camp, we’re also about fun!!! Not only will Junipers participate in Juniper Program specific elements, but they will also participate in weekend outings with the rest of the camp staff, while having their outings and meals paid for. At the end of every week, participants will also receive a stipend as a "thank you" for their successful completion and participation of the program.
-
After summer is over, Junipers will have Post Summer Assignments where they will get the opportunity to continue living out what they have learned in their program throughout the year. Through successful completion of the program and post summer assignments, they will be given priority consideration for hire the following summer (for 16 years old applying for a full-time summer job).
The two session dates for Summer 2026 are:
- Session 1: June 8-26, 2026
- Session 2: July 4-24, 2026
Registration will close on March 27th. Interviews will be held and decisions made shortly after. If you have any questions, please contact Doniel McNevin at (602) 267-4176.
